Crouch Idaho?

For the first few posts I do I'm going to play catch up a little bit. That way everyone will know what we have been up to since we got married.

After the wedding We went on a very exciting and fun cruise to Cozumel, Mexico for our Honeymoon! We definitely enjoyed the cruise and will be going on more in our future. Here are just a few pictures from the honeymoon. :)

In Key West, FL on our cruise

Whenever we came back to our room on the cruise ship there was always a different animal made out of towels on our bed

Scott and I created our first home together in a small town named Crouch, ID. Where is Crouch, ID you say? Oh just a small town an hour north of Boise. Population 162 according to the 2010 census.

Our first apartment was above our landlords garage. It was a cute, furnished studio apt with a king sized bed and a tiny kitchen.

Our tiny kitchen....
The second half of our tiny kitchen.. Yup, you are correct. There is no oven, stove or full sized fridge. That little electric burner and the microwave oven was all we got.

Our dog cricket loved living in Crouch! So much outdoors to explore!

We had a very fun and relaxed summer living in Crouch with plenty of outdoor fun to be had. Scott spent his time working for the Forest Service while I stayed at home working for our landlord, doing yard work, housework and running errands. When we weren't working we spend our time relaxing in the natural hot springs, mountain biking, backpacking, camping, white water rafting and geo-caching.

Me geo-caching!

Scott geo-caching!

Freddy the frog! He would come to our door every night to catch the bugs outside. we would often see him crawling up and down the window on our door.

Plenty of area to mountain bike in!

Backpacking trip up in the Sawtooths

Sawtooth Lake!

This was Scott's first fish that he had ever caught, killed, gutted and cooked all by himself! We ate it for lunch and it was very tasty!

The lake was completely calm when we woke up in the morning. It was so pretty!

It wouldn't be summer without hiking Table Rock!

A pie Scott baked me :)
We had an amazing 6 month extended honeymoon living in Crouch before Scott was laid off his job working with the Forest Service in November. Even though we had been expecting this it was still a bitter sweet. Although there weren't a lot of people our age in Crouch, we had become friends with a few families and it was sad to leave everyone. Scott was especially sad because he was going to be leaving before winter hit. But we didn't really have a choice, so we packed up all our belongings into a small u-haul truck and moved to Idaho Falls, ID.

Packing!

I decided it would be cool to take a picture of the front door of every place Scott and I live during our life. So here is the front door of our first apt.

Meet the Bergendorfs!!!

We have finally decided to join the bloggers world! I've been meaning to start one for a long time now. Oh well... Better late then never, right? So I"ll start by giving a short introduction of us:

Scott Reed Bergendorf was born January 6th 1982 in Pocatello, ID. He spent the first 8 months of his life in Pocy before moving to Idaho Falls, ID where he spent the rest of his younger years. Scott always had a joy for mountain biking, camping and his pride and joy, skiing. He graduated high school from Bonneville High in 2000. Scott was called to serve the Lord in the Toulouse, France mission where he spent the next two years of his life. He starting attending BYU-Idaho in January of 2005 where he found his real love of the great outdoors. He majored in Geology and filled his time with Outdoor Activities where he started rock climbing, canyoneering, mountaineering and much more. Scott graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Geology in July of 2010. Scott's last semester of college was done doing an internship working for the Forest Service in Boise, ID. He was later hired on full time and turned his temporary internship into a job that lasted him a year in a half.

Jacquelyn Hansen was born November 13th 1987 in Driggs, ID, where she lived all of her growing up years. She spent most of her time completely involved in sports whether it was basketball, softball, track or her all time favorite soccer. Jacquelyn graduated high school from Teton High in 2006 then went off to BYU-Idaho for her first semester of college in January of 2007. While attending BYU-I Jacquelyn majored in Architecture and graduated with an Associates of Arts in Architecture July of 2010. She was fortunate to have found an internship her last semester of school working for NBW Architects where she was later hired on full time and was able to gain a year of experience.

Scott and Jacquelyn met the summer of 2007 while attending a soccer class they were both taking. Everything began when Jacquelyn wanted to join one of the inter mural soccer teams. So she asked around her soccer class to see if there was an opening on anyone’s team. Scott came up to her and told her he and his roommates had a soccer team and she could join theirs if she wanted. Jacquelyn later found out that after Scott had talked to all his roommates about letting her join he also told them she was really cute and off limits to everyone else. Although they didn’t start dating then, they became really good friends and rarely went a day without talking to each other from that point forward. For the next two in a half years their relationship went back and forth with bad timing for anything other than friendship. But after dating some other people and always turning back to each other, timing finally worked itself out and they decided to see where things would go. After just three months of dating they had to go their separate ways when Scott got his internship in Boise working for the Forest Service and Jacquelyn got her internship in Idaho Falls working for the Architecture Firm for their last semester of college. Here was the start of their long distance relationship for what Jacquelyn thought was only going to be for a few months. They both graduated from BYU-Idaho in July of 2010. Now this is about the time Jacquelyn thought Scott would be finishing up his internship and moving back to Idaho Falls, but of course life doesn’t always turn out like you think it’s going to and he ended up getting hired on full time and that few months turned into a year. Scott came to Idaho Falls, where Jacquelyn was working, almost every weekend during that year apart. It was a LOT of driving! After so long both of Scott and Jacquelyn were getting pretty tired of the long distance thing. So they decided they either had to break up or get married. Although Jacquelyn had decided shortly after they started dating that Scott was the man she was going to marry, it took him a little longer to figure things out. But when he finally did decide it was ok to marry her he proposed on March 19th of 2011 (For a more in-depth story on the engagement see the album "The GPS Waypoint" on Jacquelyn's facebook) on the top of a ski hill in the middle of a snow storm. It was perfect! After that things went pretty fast and they were married two months later on May 21st of 2011 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Now for some pictures!
